Market context

LGD Gaming and Team Liquid face off in the lower bracket quarterfinal of the BLAST Slam Playoffs on 5 June, with the winner advancing and the loser eliminated from the tournament. The match is scheduled for 8:30AM ET and will be played as a best-of-three series. A 100% implied probability suggests the market has settled on a near-certain outcome, though the match has not yet been played.

Historically, LGD has maintained stronger consistency in lower bracket play across major Dota 2 tournaments, with their Chinese regional dominance translating to deeper playoff runs. Team Liquid has experienced volatility in recent months, with roster adjustments and coaching staff changes affecting their competitive stability. The current probability reflects LGD's superior recent form and Team Liquid's documented struggles in high-stakes elimination matches, though lower bracket scenarios frequently produce upsets when teams face unexpected tactical adjustments or individual player underperformance.

Traders should monitor official BLAST and team announcements for any last-minute roster changes, player illness, or technical issues that could delay or cancel the match beyond the 7-day window. The settlement deadline of 5 June at 18:00 UTC provides a tight window for match completion; any fixture postponement would trigger the 50-50 resolution clause. Recent reporting from esports journalists covering the circuit should clarify whether either team has disclosed internal issues that might affect their preparation or in-game execution.

Resolution & payout

Resolution source: This market settles from the official publication at https://www.twitch.tv/BLASTDota. A proposer submits the result to the UMA Optimistic Oracle on Polygon, the two-hour challenge window opens, and the smart contract pays out in USDC.

Sports markets typically settle on official final-whistle plus league confirmation. Polymarket uses UMA Optimistic Oracle with a source URL per contract — usually official league data feeds or ESPN/Soccerway. Two-hour dispute window, then smart-contract payout in USDC.

FAQ

Can I bet on individual matches?
Yes, Polymarket lists every major Premier League / Champions League / World Cup match as its own market. Liquidity varies — top matches like El Clásico or a semi-final often have six-figure pools, lower-league games closer to three-figure.
What are live sports odds on Polymarket?
Some top-tier matches stay open during play — you can trade the half-time probability in the 70th minute. Polymarket mid-prices update second-by-second; any frontend mirroring the order book shows the same movement.
How fast do sports winnings settle?
Once the official league outcome is logged in the UMA Oracle (typically 1-2 hours after the final whistle), Polymarket's smart contract triggers USDC payout. To your wallet within minutes.
What's the difference between match odds and outright odds?
Match odds cover a single game ("Bayern beats BVB"). Outright odds are long-term aggregates ("Bayern wins the league"). Outright markets have deeper liquidity; match markets have faster resolution.
Can I import form data and lineups?
This page shows the live Polymarket quote as an implied probability. Form data and lineups must be researched separately via sports data providers (e.g. Soccerway, ESPN, FBref) — we surface the market probability, not the sport analysis.
